What makes Our Care Different and why do we stand out as a home care agency

At Mosaic person-centred care means more than meeting clinical needs – it’s about understanding the whole person. We consider each individual’s preferences, emotional well-being, social connections. This philosophy guides how we assess, plan, deliver, and monitor care. Every member of our community – clients, families, caregivers, and staff – is treated with dignity, respect and compassion. Person-centred care is not just a phrase; it’s a culture built through years of dedication, training, and practice.
Mosaic is proudly independent & Canadian owned. We are not a franchise, not American-owned and not owned by private equity firms. Our independence allows us to prioritize care quality over profit margins. In a landscape where providers are driven by investor interests, Mosaic stands apart as a truly Canadian company committed to the well-being of our clients, caregivers and community. We are active through our Community Resource Centre and Community Hub and pop-up social events across the GTA, we provide education, social connection, and access to local resources. Mosaic is all inclusive to all and we create social connection, intergenerational programs, community involvement and volunteers.
Drag Bingo
The Drag Bingo with Miss DeWitt (Brian Cope) is one example of the events that we host, each with a different theme and to provide attendees to become actively involved. This event was held on Thursday November 6th. Miss DeWitt organized the bingo, and she dazzled the audience with her many costume changes, extensive song repertoire and her charm and banter in engaging the audience. Mosaic would also like to thank our many volunteers who assisted under the direction of Priya Hawkins Mosaic’s Community Outreach and Social Engagement Coordinator.
A bit about Brian Cope

Brian Cope is currently the Chair for the Senior’s Pride Network in Toronto. Brian has provided artistic contributions for many years to the 2SLGBQI+ Community. As a storytelling gender artist, Brian has presented to many communities across the GTA entertaining all ages. Brian has presented to many seniors’ groups and retirement homes “On Becoming……. Miss DeWitt,” an expressive arts and theatre compilation of expressive nature to self discovery.
Below is some feedback from Brian Cope on how he felt the event went and another testimonial from an attendee.
“A huge thanks to you both for the best bingo party, maybe ever!.
The organization and volunteers were top drawer and the set up worked beautifully. The crowd was so connected ,and the dancing was a special bonus.
Numerous attendees had pics taken and made a point of making personal comments of appreciation and enjoyment. I enjoyed it all tremendously.
I would be remiss if I didn’t point out the support provided by the church community outreach person, Erin I hope is the right spelling. She’s special.
I was vibrating and so were the attendees. If you have any feedback that would help me, take the show to a new level, or fix anything, I would be grateful if you pass the ideas along.
Thanks for entrusting me with your valued network. As a long time marketer, I feel confident your brand will enjoy a valuable boost.
Building bridges, breaking down walls.”

Mosaic attendee to our social program
“Today was my first social event as a new member of Mosaic.
I was really taken back by all that transpired today – the entertainment was superb along with the jovial atmosphere, beautiful music and of course, the food was delicious.
The ladies at my table were so friendly and hospitable.
I was so impressed by your team of volunteers – so organized and so accommodating!
Your outfit was over the top – so original and so colourful! There should have been a red carpet for you to stroll down and have your photo taken and displayed in the Mosaic Hollywood Toronto Hall of Fame!
I would like to congratulate you on your expertise as a social convener.
Thank you for encouraging me to come to this event and for being so helpful and welcoming when I arrived. I have really appreciated your excellent follow-up with your prompt emails, answering my questions, etc. over the last month.
By the way, that was the Slowest and Most Dragged Out Bingo that I have ever been too! Ha! Ha! I was expecting to be playing Bingo for 1 ½ to 2 hrs. I didn’t expect the fun jokes, beautiful music and such a sense of camaraderie in the room which was attributed of course to your Star Performer who really connected so well with your guests but also you and your team were having just as much fun and interacted so well with your guests – you all seemed to lift the spirits in the room – all I could see looking around were Smiles everywhere!
Thank you once again – this event certainly lifted my spirits.”
