‘From North York With Love’ Talent Show

Event attendees interacting with vendors

Mosaic has had a load of important events to highlight that we’ve been involved in.  North York Seniors Centre is one I’d like to highlight on some additional pictures from North York With Love Talent Show Friday November 28th. Jane Teasdale was honored to represent North York Seniors Centre and the work they have accomplished since 1974.

Accompanying me was Michaela sound bowl therapist as back-up music. The talent show fund raiser supports North York Seniors Centre with primary focus on launching a full time mental wellness program, specifically designed for seniors addressing the critical gap in services within our community. Mosaic has contributed for many years to educational programs, collaboration on many events, health fairs, Elder Abuse Educational programs. From what I’ve observed over the many years through this organization is that the staff are personable, treats everyone with dignity and respect, person-centred and all inclusive. Providing wonderful social programs at their centres. It is not about the deficits of the individuals that attend these programs, it’s about the here and now and what they enjoy. North York Seniors Centre is the place to do just that! And lastly, thank you to all the staff who work in making the lives better for older persons in #northyork. In my mind North York Seniors Centre is the jewel of North York. #talentshow#communityorganization #social #personcenterd
