The History of Tea
Mosaic Home Care and Chartwell Retirement Residences team up to create informative and entertaining luncheon
Re-cap Of Our History Of Tea Luncheon And Music Afternoon With Chartwell Retirement In Richmond Hill
On Friday June 19th we featured our History of Tea Luncheon and Music Afternoon organized by Mosaic Home Care Services & Chartwell Retirement Residences.
Thank you to Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church who so kindly provided this wonderful space, and to Mary Minelli and her colleagues from Chartwell Retirement Residences who sponsored the lovely sandwiches and desserts. We also had an actor that was dressed in Victorian costumes meeting and greeting attendees as they were coming into the event. We also had a violinist who played extremely well while the Victorian lady was dancing around the auditorium chatting with guests.
This is what Mosaic is about! We focus on the person and not the deficit in running these wondering engaging programs and collaborating with all types of organizations from retirement Homes, community agencies, local businesses, not-for-profit and private organizations. Mosaic Home Care is a connector of resources and organizing all different types of fun events for the communities. We are also skilled in using community assets and community spaces or parks to run our programs.
Jane and Priya from Mosaic Home Care provided the presentation on the History of Tea and had several artifacts and different type of teas on display for people to view.
We discussed the legend of tea, where it originated from, historical information, the journey of Ceylon Tea – Sri Lanka, tea plantation, tea making process and of course brewing the perfect cup of tea!
Mosaic Home Care and our model is expanding into the Markham, Thornhill, Richmond Hill, Vaughan and Woodbridge areas and will be providing many more pop-up events in the different regions of the city. The History of Tea was our first event in Richmond Hill, and we are looking forward to organizing many more events in the future. Stay tuned as we have an event happening in October 2026 in Richmond Hill.
